How it works

Four steps, one conversation

No enrolment form to guess your way through and no fees before we have spoken. Placement follows a real conversation about the student.

  1. Tell us who you are

    Names and an email address. Under a minute.

  2. Answer a short intake

    Course, current grade, target grade, and where the student is getting stuck. We read this before we speak.

  3. Book a 30-minute consultation

    Choose a time from our live calendar. You get a calendar invitation immediately.

  4. Meet, then get placed

    We recommend a class and a specialist teacher. If it is a fit, we set out the schedule and fees then.

Approach

Why specialists outperform generalists

Most tutoring sells hours. What changes a grade is a teacher who has taught the same syllabus enough times to know the three places it goes wrong.

One subject per teacher

Our teachers do not cover a syllabus they learned last term. Each teaches a single course, every session, every year — so they know exactly where students lose marks and why.

Placement, not sign-up

Nobody buys a package off a page. We talk first, establish what the student actually needs, and place them in the class that fits. Sometimes the honest answer is that we are not the right fit.

Small classes by design

Groups stay small enough that a teacher can see each student work through a problem. Where a student needs one-to-one instead, we say so.

Built around the exam

Papers, mark schemes, examiner reports, and the internal assessment. Conceptual understanding is the goal; the grade is the evidence.

Before you book

What does the consultation cost?
Nothing. It is a 30-minute call to work out what the student needs and whether we are the right people to provide it. Fees are only discussed if we recommend a placement.
How much does tutoring cost?
Fees depend on the course and the intensity of the placement, so we set them out on the consultation once we know what the student needs. Nothing is payable before that call.
Do you teach one to one or in groups?
Both. Most students are placed in a small class with a specialist teacher; where the need is specific enough, one to one is the better answer. The consultation decides which.
Which curricula do you cover?
IB Mathematics AA (HL and SL), IB Physics (HL and SL), and the AP mathematics sequence: Precalculus, Calculus AB, and Calculus BC. We do not teach outside that list.
Are sessions online or in person?
Sessions are held online, which is what lets us match a student to the right specialist rather than the nearest one.
What if we are not a good fit?
We will tell you on the call. A student who needs something we do not teach well is better served by hearing that in thirty minutes than after a term.

Often, depending on the course and where the class has reached. Ask on the call, or email [email protected].
